    The strays that appear on my doorstep love this, but the downside is that the packet doesn’t always rip properly and the liquid spills out. It’s also difficult to get the meat out of the packet. After eventually emptying the contents into a bowl you will need to thoroughly was the packet as it starts to stink within an hour. I recommend putting the empty pouches into another bag and sealing it otherwise you will have swarms of flies and eventually maggots surrounding your bin. Learned that the hard way. Nothing wrong with the food itself and as said previously, the strays love it, shame my indoor friend doesn’t feel the same way, but she’s terribly fussy when it comes to meals.

    Many cat owners will tell you that their deeply loved companions have been known to be particular when it comes to their preferred brand of food. I am a staff member for one such cat. A former stray who was seen eating half cooked Banana bread one cold winters day, you would think she would be somewhat less than fussy when It came to her food choices. Let me assure you that this is not the case. Adopted and happy in my home (Now her home) she became more and more selective with her preferred meal selection. Leaving the “Meat” of the dish “licked clean” in the bowl and giving me cause for concern regarding whether or not she was getting enough to eat. I tried nearly every brand available from supermarkets, she was even unimpressed by the everyday Felix pouches. She refused everything from Grain free, gluten free, organic bespoke meals down to the cheapest product which claims to be cat food. She even refused freshly cooked chicken and beef…….did I buy that just for her?……maybe. I bought these when they were on special offer, thinking “Well if she still wastes most of the meal at least it won’t cost too much”. To my surprise……..empty dish……followed by empty dish. I thought honestly that she would get bored of it and I’d be left with hundreds of pouches which were no longer appealing to her majesty. This has not been the case, I rotate the flavours so that she doesn’t have the same over and over but so far she still eats all or nearly all of this food. To date this has been the food she has liked the most consistently. Long may it continue.
