Hints & Tips:
Additional ways to deter Squirrels from feeding from your wild bird feeders are:
Ensure that the Squirrel cannot access the feeder by jumping on to it from nearby trees or climbing up a feeding station etc.
That as an extra deterrent to the Squirrels getting onto a feeder a tree hook is used as this will increase the distance between the feeder and the hanging point. It may be worth covering the tree hook in Vaseline as a preventive measure.
Provide a Squirrel Feeder for the Squirrels as this may encourage them to feed from their own specific feeder and leave the wild bird feeder alone.
Also, the RSPB suggest mixing in with bird seed chilli powder as Squirrels do not like the taste of this product while bird do not mind it.
Please note young squirrels may be able to fit between the bars until they mature into adult squirrels, so it may be worth following the advice above.

We have problems with crows, magpies and squirrels in the garden which hound all other birds away. Thought I would give one of these a try and works great. Good to see the larger birds not able to get the food.

This does the job of keeping out the magpies. However when wet weather bottom nuts do get soaked and start to rot. I have solved this problem by adding a small hole to allow the rain water to be released.

Great for keeping the squirrels out, solid construction, worth the money.

Happy with this item. We enjoy seeing the birds and the squirrel but he’s a nuisance really so hopefully this will deter him.

Basic bird feeder that helps keep squirrels at bay.Suitable for peanuts. Does the job and realistic price and came in a timely manner.

Squirrels can’t eat the cage as it is metal rather than plastic

Brilliant peanut feeder. Let’s all the smaller birds enjoy a snack & keeps predators & large birds away. Needs a hole bored into the base as water collects & mushes the peanuts.

Does exactly as it says
