not seen any birds using these so wouldn’t buy again but hoping it will bring birds in to our garden when the weather gets colder

Well the low price is a good starting point!Put these up on a first floor balcony rail outside our bedroom window.First takers within two hours of putting them up.Now we have a steady stream in bouts throughout the day. We can almost set our clock by the first arrivals – 8.15 am on the dot! Then we have mainly blue tits, but also great tits, coal tits and long-tailed tits in a group. Most seem to perch on the outer cage and reach in – so maybe the inner perches are redundant. There are bullfinches, goldfinches and chaffinches around but they don’t seem so interested. The robin came up to investigate but hasn’t taken to these feeders. The squirrel had one go at the seeds but seems to have given up.The fat ball cage ‘deters’ the squirrels but they can still poke their snouts in to nibble a bit but not nearly so much as an unprotected cage.Today I’ve replenished one of our other feeders for the first time, which makes me realise by comparison how easy these feeders are to top up!In case I need to detach them, they are secured using two mini-carabiner clips https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01APXQMMQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which fit round the bars.

  8. Steve @ North london

Great for the small birds and will deters squirrels after a while. They will try to break in through!!

  9. Mr. T. Spiers

I was looking for a way to prevent Magpie’s raiding the bird feeders, when I saw this set of three feeders with outer cages. I thought the price of just over £20 for the three was too good to be true, but took a punt on them. I have not been disappointed, the build quality is good and the design excellent. The first small bird to figure out how to use the feeders was a coal tit, and the others quickly followed. The Magpie’s have made strenuous efforts to get at the fat balls, but failed every time. It’s amusing now to see them sitting on a tree branch watching the sparrows and tits feeding.

  10. Amazon Customer

Does the job perfectly. Keep squirrels off bird feed.
