For bird lovers, there’s nothing more relaxing than watching the different varieties that land in your garden.Birds are clever, colourful, and quite interesting to watch. So, if you are lucky enough to have even a small yard, garden, or acreage, you could easily transform it into a favourite hangout spot for all sorts of birds. Bird tables act as a pit stop, where birds can drink, eat, and rest up as they go about their daily activities. Her Ladyship and I opted for the Riverside Woodcraft Bird Table Feeding Station with Anti Bacteria Coating, a wooden table that included a seed feeder bracket. This multi-function feeding table was delivered before the due date, which pleased us. It came as a flat pack, that needed to be assembled. All the parts including screws were in the box, with nothing missing. This scored highly with Her Ladyship and I.Using an electric screw driver we borrowed from our handyman, we found it very easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and concise. All the pieces were pre-drilled and fitted together perfectly. If we can assemble it, anyone can. The wood was stained and presumably, as advertised came with some sort of anti-bacteria coating. The structure has been manufactured from a soft wood (what do you expect for thirty pounds). If you go for a hard wood from somewhere else, this bird stand and table would be in the region of one hundred pounds plus. If treated with a coat of wood preserver each year this bird table feeding station will see many years of usage by our feather friends.
The Buyer –
I wanted a birdtable for my back garden, but because it is completely slabbed the choices were difficult, as so many required spikes into the ground. Despite some negative reviews I decided to give this one a go and I’m so glad I did.It arrived two days earlier than expected, so I set to, assembling it. The instructions were clear and I soon had it built. Some of the negative reviews criticised the item because they felt some holes hadn’t been drilled. I can only think that they don’t realise that the holes that are there, are just guides as to where the screws go, since the screws supplied are wood screws, they don’t need pilot holes. All in all I am very happy with my purchase, now I just have to wait until the birds become used to it in the garden.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this bird table to use as a sturdy base for my squirrel feeder to Sir on.I found it quite easy to assemble but some of the pre made screw holes were either non existent or didn’t align properly or were way too big.If a product comes with screws to be fitted in, it does help to actually pre drill the holes their supposed to fit in.Apart from that I’m happy with my purchase and my little squirrel friend is happy too.

The size of the bird tabke is perfect.Luckily a neighbour agreed to assemble if together in which it didn’t take very long. Not knowing what to do with the smaller table I’ve decided to place a couple fatballs there for now.EDIT:I have since been using the smaller table for peanuts which is emptied by the pigeons and squirrels daily. The original bird table was extremely busy so I decided to purchase a second one.

It’s great, in use, very sturdy, quite attractive [as bird tables go] … the top table could be somewhat bigger but two or three jackdaws can manage it so it isn’t too small. The instructions were for a slightly different model which caused some confusion but once you look at parts it is straight forward to assemble [with an electronic screwdriver.]

I love it. It’s like something my dad would have made. Arrived today, took me half an hour to put it together; Notes – top black screw of the metal bracket was fiddly to get in – needed to use an extension on the bit. When fixing the top supports under table make sure you screw them in at a sharper angle than the pre-drilled holes as the screws aren’t quite long enough. I also needed to swivel the handle on the drill round so I could use it on the front facing screw of the small side table. I had to use a mains drill as didn’t have the strength to just use a screwdriver – but then I’m an unfit 55 yr old woman with a slpped disc, so……

Really pleased with the bird table & company. When we assembled it there was a piece missing. Before I had chance to contact them I had a very apologetic email say they missed the part off & will send it in the post that day. Such a fantastic company. Can’t recommend them enough & will definitely use them again

The product is a good solid bird table much better than the ones I’ve seen in garden centres. The top table could be being a bit bigger. At least another 2 inches on all sides in my view. But I like it

With a big octagonal bird house stained the very same colour but with nothing to stand it on, I had almost given up on ever finding anything. Than this. My brother-in-law kindly put it all together for me and it is the perfect feeding station with a lid topping the bird house to stop the rain flooding in – but I understand from Charlie Dimmock (Garden Rescue) that if you are attaching a bird house to a stand, to drill some holes on the outer edges of the house base, to help keep excess rainfall draining away. That said, when done, that will make for the perfect partnership. You can use it simply as a bird-table if preferred.
