About Tetra:
Tetra is the world leader in the aquarium industry and one of the most important manufacturers of garden pond products. Company founder was Dr. rer. nat. Ulrich Baensch, who developed the first flake food for ornamental fish in 1955: TetraMin. Over 60 years of company history, the goal has always been to make aquarium simpler, safer and more user-friendly.
Feed fresh – just like Mother Nature
As the range of animal and plant food in most garden ponds is quite sparse, additional feeding should be provided. Tetra uses a lot of research energy to get on the track of Mother Nature’s recipes to optimally adapt feed varieties to the needs of pond inhabitants. The food not only contains everything fish need, but is also protected by opaque and sealed packaging.
- Biologically balanced diet
- Optimal feed conversion
- Healthy Growth
- Increased resistance
- Clear water
- Low algae

The special thing about the Pond FlakesThey are an ideal main food for all pond fish and contain all the essential nutrients, fibre and minerals as well as trace elements and vitamins for an all-round biologically balanced diet. Thanks to the good swimming and sinking properties, the flakes are suitable for fish species of all water layers, but especially for young fish and those with small mouths that cannot absorb sticks and pellets. |
The special thing about Tetra garden pond foodThe BioActive formula is a carefully balanced blend of immunostimulators, high-quality energy suppliers and vital vitamins that give fish more resistance, energy and vitality. In addition, they lead to very little waste and thus contribute to excellent water quality and clarity. |
Digital water testTest water values in the garden pond quickly and safely – easily with your smartphone. The app helps to analyze the most important water values. Simply use the Tetra liquid or strip test. |
Feeding tips:
The amount of food required by your fish depends on the water temperature. Observe the feed intake and adjust the feeding accordingly. As a rule of thumb: Feed only as much as your fish can eat in 3 to 4 minutes. Then always remove all food residue.
How often you feed your fish daily also depends on the water temperature and, of course, how much time you spend at home. Most of the year, 2 to 3 feedings a day are enough. During the winter dormancy, when the temperature drops below 5°, you do not need to feed your fish.

These Tetra Pond Flakes – 10 L are an excellent product in many ways, and I’m very glad I found them! The (great) Aquatics shop from which I had previously been buying fish food for 25-30 years has always been pricey, but about 12 months ago it suddenly occurred to me that their prices seemed to have gone through the roof. Obviously you want the best for your fish, which is why I’d carried on buying the shop’s food at their steadily increasing prices, but as I’ve got three ponds it was getting much too painful spending getting on for £200 for flakes and pellets 2 or 3 times every year – their prices had certainly doubled in about 4 or 5 years.I decided to look on Amazon (where else?!) and study the customer reviews for alternative similar products and am so glad I did as these flakes are far easier on the £££ and are clearly of top quality and much loved by the fish. It’s the same thing with the pellets (Gladwells Pond Pellets 10 kg) I now also buy from Amazon, and for which I have left a similar review.Incidentally, they both also now arrive post-free at my door in no time at all and save me having to drive a 40-mile round trip to visit the original place to collect the food as I had to before.

Tetra pond flakes are value for money as it’s the only brand the goldfish eat. 4 litre packs a good value for money. Easy zip seal keeps the flakes fresh.
