Used this comb on our poodle cross – very gently removing little snags, which are inevitable and this took them out with ease and no discomfort or annoyance from our little dog.Very user friendly and I’m so pleased I invested in this tool.

our 1 yr old cavapoo hair does matt here and there once in a while. We are new to the dog world so dematt is just another new thing to learn. Want to dematt small patches at home ourselves without waiting too long for the groomer or replying on them.Bought this comb after trawling tonnes of reviews and recommendations and I used this first time having bought it few months ago.. I must say it is very effective and easy to use, impressive. Once big chunk matt removed within minutes… that is having to keep the dog still and distracted for me to do the job..

Great comb and painless to get matts out with my cavapoo getting into to much stress but I got the big 1 and I should have bought the smaller 1 as the gabs between the teeth are a little big and my cavapoo is small I should have bought the smaller 1 this is my fault not the company

brilliant for my dogs hair

Great delivice as one of my cockapoos is prone to more knotting than the other. Gets tough nots out with ease. Doesn’t come close to the skin so rest assured its safe. Good price and fast dispatch.

Bought this last year for our Cockapoo with matting under her armpits and behind her ears amongst other areas. This is my go to comb now as it works wonderfully, so good in fact that I am about to buy another to turn the blades in the other direction to make it easier to comb both sides whilst sat or standing in the same position.

I have tried various grooming products, but this is the best for matted fur and knots.

I have a young cockapoo and she’s incredibly strong-willed and lively.Since I got her, she’s hated being groomed, and even hated being stroked at first. That made me worried to take her to the groomers and leave her there in case they lost their temper with how uncooperative she is (irrational, I know!). I would try make grooming a positive experience with lots of treats and do short bursts at a time, but nothing worked, she still hated it. It wasn’t so much of an issue when she was younger, but as she’s shedded her puppy coat and her harness matts her adult fur terribly it got so out of control. As cockapoo owners know, as soon as a matt forms it only takes a couple of days to spread like wildfire. Every so often, I would spend a few days shaving them out around her neck and body and managed to painfully get a once over done on her with the comb on the other areas. It took forever. As you can imagine, she looked a bit unsightly with this method 😅 you can kind of see it in pic 1. Pic 2 is how she usually looks and I wanted to keep that length going forward, but thought I’d always have to shave the areas under her harness short unless she started cooperating with the grooming combs/brushes.Yesterday I was going to start the process of shaving the matts again. I’ve trawled through so many tutorials the past year and have never come across a tool like this, but I thought there HAS to be something! So back to Google I went and these types of tools popped up.I did a bit more research and settled on this one. I was skeptical and didn’t hold much hope but WOW. Seriously, wow!!!I popped her on the window ledge to distract her and I got to work. I was blown away at how well this worked! It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it it’s an absolute life saver! She even happily sat through it? She has NEVER willingly sat through a grooming session before!I managed to use it for about 20 minutes and have given her a break. But it works a treat and feels very safe.I’m thrilled and feel like I’ll be able to manage to keep the matts under control now once they’re all removed.I can’t recommend this enough, it’s a must for cockapoo owners whether it’s for in between groomers sessions or whether you do it yourself. I’m so glad I found it!

Bought this item yesterday as other reviews were very good but with the odd (it didn’t work for me) review. I have a Golden Retriever who was heavily matted around the thighs/rear from when she’s been in the water. I found that if you use the comb gently going from higher up and working your way down steadily you can see more of the matting under where you have just worked it. After about 30 minutes of grooming her in the garden, I know have a pile of matted fur that looks like a sheep has had a nasty run in with a predator!! Also tried this comb out on the tail and works perfectly. Steady away is the way to go with this because if you try too hard, it will pull the skin and annoy your dog. Always wondered how groomers did these awkward areas and I reckon they use a similar comb to this Safari brand one.

I cannot recommend this comb highly enough, it’s like actual magic! We have a rescue goldendoodle who is both brain damaged and blind. He has many struggles, particlarly sensory and brushing/combing is very challenging for him. I’ve tried many different brushes and combs (even that stupidly expensive American import that everyone was raving about a while back) and while he will tolerate some brushing, he really doesn’t enjoy it, even with his favourite treats.I was completely astounded to find that he not only tolerates this comb but actually seemed to enjoy it and find it somewhat relaxing! His coat had become quite matted on one side (he only has three legs and a half legs and he favours the side with his little leg so that becomes the most tangled) and I’ve been able to make some great progress on this side. He is very sensitive around his little leg and will generally not allow anyone to touch it but today he not only let me touch his leg, he actually allowed me to hold it and brush it through. To say this is life-changing might be a little much but being able to groom him without stress is going to make such an enormous difference to him and us.As others have said, it is quite easy to nick your hands with the blade so caution is required.
