Ferplast Rigid Carrier for Small-Sized Dogs and Cats Atlas 30 EL
Atlas EL is the most basic version of our pet carriers for cats and small dogs and has multiple functions. Atlas EL is easy to carry with us, thanks to its fixed handle, and is ideal for travelling with our pets on the most common means of transport. This plastic pet carrier for cats and small dogs comes complete with a solid door made of plastic-coated steel. It is very sturdy, thanks to its fastening system with lateral spring clips. It also has lateral ventilation grilles, which ensure sufficient ventilation inside the carrier.

We’ve had several cat transporters over the years and this is the best so far. Size (10 EL) seems perfect for most general purpose cats. I liked the metal door grill as previous plastic grills sometimes suffered from feline chewing.Easy to assemble ( IF you read the instructions first!! Fitting the clips is a bit non-intuitive otherwise.)A lot of the 1 star reviews date back to 2015 – 2018, so maybe the quality has improved over the years. I certainly regard the one I received as excellent quality.I would recommend this carrier.

Seeing as the first one came smashed to bits, I was a bit dubious as to whether or not these pet carriers were very strong. Fortunately, this one was ok so I must assume it was the handling of the previous one that caused it to break, rather than the workmanship itself that was at fault. The bottom half is a smart burgundy colour and the top is cream and it has a sturdy cream painted wire door which fastens at either side. It was very little trouble to put together, although I did forget to follow the instructions and put the lugs at the front into place before attaching the top to the bottom – simple mistake but one that’s easily rectified. You’ll soon notice that the top won’t fit properly if you don’t do this simple step! It’s big enough for a Jack Russell to walk into and lie down comfortably and is a good way to keep a puppy safe whilst you do the housework or whilst you’re out, so that it doesn’t rip the house to shreds! All in all (despite the last one being broken and other reviewers reporting similar) it’s a nice, sturdy pet carrier although I do have doubts about the handle, which is attached to the same thickness of plastic as the rest of the lid – no reinforcements around it. If you’re going to use it for a particularly heavy pet or use it in the car, I’d recommend putting the carrier where you want it and putting the pet in afterwards if at all possible, just to save the area around the handle from possible breakage. It should be ok for carrying short distances though.

Good quality plastic and large enough to transport my two adult cat’s to the vet. Putting it together was really easy, but I did have a little problem getting the two front pegs through the corresponding holes (the plastic is so robust it’s hard to push the sides in!). I did manage it in the end. The handle seems well fixed and I’d trust it not to fall apart. The front door has four winged pegs holding it shut, they can be opened in pairs so the door can swivel open from the left or right.Very good value for money.

Good quality. Strong and safe. Easy to assemble and use. My two 12 week old kittens travelled happily together in it.

I have had this robust and comfortable carrier for several years for my large cat.It is very easy to add or remove the lid and door grid once you have found the notches.I have a soft furry mat inside and leave the bottom half of the carrier in a cupboard all the timeso the cat can have a sleep in it; not just for vet trips !To put my cat inside, I prop the doorless carrier on the seat of an armchair with the opening tipped up against the arm so the floor is sloping downwards which makes it more dificult to get out.Would highly recommend.

fairly easy to put together , a couple of the clips didn`t line up properly but with a bit of fiddling manged to get the door on , other than that a great size for our larger cat

Pleased with product. It is as advertised. The cat was well catered for with the trip to the vet. Some people found it difficult to assemble it really was not difficult at all.

Bought this for my old cat when moving house so he wasn’t cramped when travelling – it was ideal. Large enough for a small dog, plenty of height. Assembled easy enough – had this type previously and not had any issues when closing, just make sure door is slotted in fully before locking. Happy with my purchase.

I needed a cat carrier large enough to carry our two Bengals. This does the job perfectly. They can both sit and lie down comfortably together side by side. There’s a few negative reviews concerning the quality but I think they have just been unlucky with the item sent. I’d have no trouble recommending this product!

This carrier is superb in every way. It is large enough to fit our two cats comfortably and most importantly it is very well made, sturdy and totally safe when the door is closed. We have no doubts at all about this carrier’s safety which is so important and was a key factor in my serach.
