There is probably a few other dog food brands which might be better but this brand is all natural, and is easy to store, easy to buy (from Prime, Supermarkets, Pet shops, etc) and the price isn’t too bad either. For the quality of food you’re getting, the price is ok. We buy in bulk as our dogs eat a lot and it’s good we get a discount when buying large quantities. The ingredients are good, no added sugar, nasties or fillers! Decent food, easy to source and loads of different flavours to suit all dogs.

I love Forthglade. Ive tried so many different branded dog foods in the past including some of the big names like Royal Canin, but I always end up coming back to Forthglade. My pup literally spins for joy when she realises that I’m on my way to get her dinner. She clearly enjoys eating it, and her stools are consistently well formed. And as poop goes, what she passes isn’t really too foul smelling either. Her coat is soft and healthy looking, she’s a decent weight (maybe a little on the sturdy side!) and generally she appears very well on the diet. I like to try and mix things up for her and will add different veg, or change how she is fed (licki mats, kongs etc). The final plus point is that the trays are convenient and stored at room temp so no freezer space required!

My dog loves this food, she can be fussy with her kibble but eats this every day without fail. High meat content and good quality food.

My dog absolutely loves this food and I find it easy to use and very economical. As to the flavour stars i strangely have not ‘tried it’ but my dog woolfs it down and her coat looks fabulous.

I have a three year old, 24KG male border collie who’s always struggled a bit with his digestion. We’ve tried more than 10 different brands of dog food over 3 years, dried, wet and raw. We were making some headway with Naturo wet trays but it was hit and miss with flavours and digestive results. Our vet didn’t find any issues with grains or other allergies, just generally sensitivity.Forthglade was an emergency purchase originally when the supermarkets suddenly ran out of stock of others. After the third day of Forthglade our collie had completely settled down and happily munches through a 2/3 tray per meal with a couple of small scoops of Morrisons natural dried sprinkled on top. Along with the slow feeder bowl we got him meal times have become one of the highlights of the day rather than dread. He’s full of energy at the right times, sleeps well, no nasty emanating smells (except fishy breath on the salmon packs). The only downside… the cost. When we first bought Forthglade at the beginning of the year I paid £6.50 on offer (£1.75 off) from the local pet store. Bought on here for £15 for 12 but the price just keeps climbing and any discounts seem cancelled out by the price increases and push towards subscription orders. Today it’s £22. Asda have it at £1.25 a tray on offer but no Asda for 18 miles.

After nearly 10 months of trying to find a food that our super fussy 17 month old Great Dane X Caucasian Shepherd will eat, we’ve finally found it! This is the first time we have ever seen him eager for his food. Previously he has turned his nose up to every food we’ve tried him on and only after several hours did he ever eat it. Now it is gone as soon as we put it down and his stools are fantastic. No more trying to clear up sloppy poos. So far we have tried him with the lamb, beef and sardine. Each one was an instant hit. He didn’t even care when I put his tick treatment in it. He’s 50kg but incredibly lazy, so currently feeding him 2 trays a day and will see how his weight holds at that.
