This item is very good quality dog food… HOWEVER, I will never buy again from Amazon.. Dumped into my wheelie bin … Its food, although dog food and I do not want food dumped into a wheelie bin. The photo states “left behind wheelie bin”… The last time I wasnt in, the food was left underneath my trailer in the front garden for three days…. AMAZON, your drivers are crap!

Great food but it’s getting into the trays that kill it for me.It’s bad enough when they do have a lip to help open them, but these have nothing as far as I can see.I have to use a knife to cut the plastic seal back, which is irritating and worse is there’s plastic moulds in the corners so I can’t even cut straight across.Very sloppy as well opening it spurts food out.I have severe osteoarthritis and these companies don’t consider such disabilities while manufacturing or designing these containers.

My dachshund has been through more brands of food than I can count since I’ve had her. Sometimes that would be because I learnt more about ingredients in foods, other times because she had stomach sensitivities to things like chicken, or she would simply go off the food. She went off of her Forthglade puppy food during her phantom pregnancy but thrilled that I have tried it again after almost a year because I’ve never seen her inhale food so quickly. Her poops are better, the ingredients are great quality with 75% being meat, and it is all clearly labelled. Plus, storage wise, I can keep unopened trays in the cupboard. My dog is extremely fussy and she will run to have some Forthglade.

I have a three year old, 24KG male border collie who’s always struggled a bit with his digestion. We’ve tried more than 10 different brands of dog food over 3 years, dried, wet and raw. We were making some headway with Naturo wet trays but it was hit and miss with flavours and digestive results. Our vet didn’t find any issues with grains or other allergies, just generally sensitivity.Forthglade was an emergency purchase originally when the supermarkets suddenly ran out of stock of others. After the third day of Forthglade our collie had completely settled down and happily munches through a 2/3 tray per meal with a couple of small scoops of Morrisons natural dried sprinkled on top. Along with the slow feeder bowl we got him meal times have become one of the highlights of the day rather than dread. He’s full of energy at the right times, sleeps well, no nasty emanating smells (except fishy breath on the salmon packs). The only downside… the cost. When we first bought Forthglade at the beginning of the year I paid £6.50 on offer (£1.75 off) from the local pet store. Bought on here for £15 for 12 but the price just keeps climbing and any discounts seem cancelled out by the price increases and push towards subscription orders. Today it’s £22. Asda have it at £1.25 a tray on offer but no Asda for 18 miles.
