Our fourteen year old female collie is suffering from recurring urine infections. We work with our vet to monitor the condition. If we think she might have a recurrence we do a test, our vet now accepts our readings (she checked we were reading them correctly). As a result we don’t have to pay for this part of the vet consultation. They were charging £28.50 for this dip test and £150 for a laboratory test. So very happy to do it ourselves with these.

These strips are really good for showing abnormalities in your pet’s urine.

Having an old dog these are handy to keep in. She can sometime suffer a little incontinence due to arthritis and age. These help is make sure she’s not got an infection going on if she gets worse and that we just need to increase her pain relief for her hips. Saves rushing to the vets all the time. I am nhs trained to read urine strips also which helps. Of course if anything was off with the result, we would consult the vet.

It was useful to have these to help work out and monitor the issues my boy was having (peeing on the bed). They are very easy to use (though getting the pee in the first place is another matter!!) and the results seemed to be accurate as they reflected what we’d been told by the vet after a “proper” urinalysis.Of course it’s always best to get a vet check up first but to keep an eye on the situation these are a good thing to have!

These were more expensive than some others I bought but they are veterinary grade and I beleive they are more accurate
