    These are really good and sturdy bird feeders. Needed replacements and these were perfect. Well worth the money.

    Unlike a lot of other mealworm bird feeders this one is actually very easy to wash as the top and the bottom screw off. I also use them (bought 2 at different times) to put suet pellets and even dry big porridge oats so good not only for mealworm. I might buy another soon just because they are very good value and pretty thick plastic.

    These break very easily, they were put up and after some wind they came down and the bases shattered into pieces and that’s landing on grass this was in the summer too

    Worked well for about 5 minutes. Until my rabid local birds realized that swinging on it harshly emptied the seed out all over my flower bed. They seemed to enjoy swirling and swinging it and watching a little waterfall of seeds being scattered all below them. It was then a chaotic scene from the birds as a flock was all over my garden, shaking and fighting over an entire tube full of seeds. I might need to get something else instead

    Once the birds got used to them, these feeders are the ones they go to. They don’t have to put their head in a hole and as such I think they feel safer from predators.Squirrels are able to eat from them too and don’t bite holes into them to get to the food, although we have put wire round because the weight of the squirrel can pull the bottom off, but it is easy to put back together with no dammage.

    Good size. Birds like it. Seed does not freeze easily, a shake is all that’s been needed in this freezing weather.
