The colour is lovely, weight is lighter than you’d expect and handle is sturdy to pick up the box with your pet in. Any small animals would be comfortable in this carrier. For the price, I am very happy with this carrier as it’s a solid comfortable piece that’s essential for safely taking your pet out of the home. The door is made of metal and is very sturdy, no one is escaping from this. When receiving this carrier, it comes deconstructed but is very easy to assemble. The latches are sometimes tight to get on but with a good tap they fit. Definitely got a good value for money with this carrier.

My carrier arrived well packaged. My Mum had to put it together. I was very proud of her as she’s not usually very good at these things. She found it easy to do. The day arrived for my visit to the vet. I was glad to go in it. Mum put a cuddly blanket in there for me and I settled down in it. It’s very roomy for me. It would be too big for a kitten but they would grow into it! Mum said the clips to lock the cage door are a bit stiff and she would have to be careful that they don’t snap off as they are only plastic. Perhaps a little oil or polish might make them easier to move. Mum found it not too heavy to carry with me in it. I have a fabric carrier and that is too heavy with me in it! This will be easy to keep clean with a good wash and spray of anti bacterial. Overhaul would recommend to all my fully grown feline friends. Sorry kittens when you’re big enough you too can have one!

After reading other reviews I was worried about ease of assembly but I have to say even with severe arthritis Each clip took took me maybe 15 seconds and the whole thing took about 5 minutes to assemble…no word of a lie. Some said as the instructions were only visual that it wasn’t clear but to me they showed exactly what you needed to do. With the clip held horizontally in your hand you put the ‘sticky out bits’ in the appropriate place on the lid. Next (whilst the clipsare in correct place) you lift the entire fixing up⬆️ until it touches the side of the lid. As you raise it you will feel/hear the sticky out bits click into place. Once this happens you bring the clip from vertical (end pointing at ceiling) down, down down until the end is facing the floor. Done. Some were concerned with the handle clips not being strong enough to carry the weight. I haven’t tried mine yet but think it should be ok. If you are concerned you could adjust the clip inside using a glue gun/ tape etc etc to ensure it can’t slip out the hole but I don’t think it’ll be an issue. I showed my dad this morning and he was so impressed with it he took it with him when he left to borrow as he thought it is better than my old one! Cheeky! There are no holes in bottom so any accidents won’t run out into your car/lap.The doorway is super large and can be undone on right OR left to suit you or you can remove it completely for ease of access if you need to just by turning all the clips to’open’.There are indents at the four corners where you can insert a nut/bolt for extra security if you worry about it coming apart. At £21 including (free) delivery (which incidentally arrived the very next day I think this is a bargain!

My 6.2 kg cat fits in here comfortably. He is a large cat – very tall and long, not overweight – and I struggled to carry him in a standard sized carrier. He had a bad accident (lots of trips to the vet + large cone) and couldn’t lie down in a standard carrier, but was more comfortable in this one. The metal “gate” is great, a lot sturdier than the plastic ones (I often thought he’d push his way through them). Would recommend.

This travel crate is really good, similar quality to others that cost double the money in any pet shop. Because of that, I recommend it. The only problem is that you will need the help of a skilled person to help you to assembly it. There are many small pieces and the makers should spend in a small leaflet with clear written explanations (the leaflet provided has only drawings, like Ikea, but not as clear as Ikea). Tip: to keep together the two big pieces you will need to use the seven plastic pieces (side clips) provided, each one has a trick: pushing downwards against the plastic wall until you hear a click and later pull it forward and down until it clicks again, only in that way it will keep the two halves of the crate together. The other small pieces are for the metal door.

After my cat destroyed two carrier bags on the way to the vet in the span of a month I decided to by a box. Always been put off by the bulkyness and uncomfortableness but didn’t see any other choice of making my cats travel safe and comfortable but in a box.The box came dissembled but it’s very straight forward to put together. Unfortunately there were a couple of scratch marks on the top but this is just a minor cosmetic problem. The handle on top clips in but I do feel a bit nervous that it could pop out at any second. Same with the side clips. They lock in well but still you never know. We’ve done our first trip to the vet clinic with a lot of moaning and crying from the cat but the box kept it together. So hopefully this will keep us going for a while.
