About this item WAX JACKET – New to our Hound & Yard range is this country WAX dog jacket in brown. It’s super smart and will give your dog that country look when out on walks with you. This wax coat is a timeless classic and we’ve coupled it with a brushed cotton tartan lining to give your dog even more style and to help keep him/her warm. WATER RESISTANT – The jacket is a hard-wearing water-resistant coat that is designed for all the mischief we expect our four legged friends to get up to. We recommend using a wax treatment every 6 months on these jackets to keep them as water resistant as possible. Its perfect for light to medium rainy days, but not for heavy downpours. ADJUSTABLE CLIP BELT – Our coats come with a fully adjustable strap and clip belt. This makes fitting the coat to your dog very easy. Just adjust it according to your dogs chest size and then clip it in place with the sturdy plastic clip. The strap extends from 24cm up to 42cm so allows for plenty of room depending on your dogs stature. EASY FIT 2-STEP – We designed our dog coat to be extremely easy to fit. There’s nothing worse than trying to wrestle with getting your dog to step into a jacket when it doesn’t want to! Our coat simply lays over the dogs back then clips around it’s tummy with 1 click. To keep the coat in place when walking and running around we’ve used a Velcro flap that goes around the dogs neck which again is very easy to fit. HAND WASH – The jacket is hand wash only, it helps keep the coat in tip top condition. Please do not tumble dry. We also recommend treating it with a wax dressing every 6 months to help keep it super wate resistant.

Adjustable Neck & Body Strap

This Hound & Yard country dog jacket comes with a fully adjust neck and body strap. The neck strap is hook and loop so can be easily be fitted around your dogs neck and has an adjustable length of 10cm to ensure a snug fit. The body strap is fastened with a heavy duty quick release clip and is also fully adjustable.

As with all hound & yard products branding is important. This dog jacket features our rubber Hound & Yard logo which is very robust and completely water proof. It also features Hound & Yard “jean style” buttons on the jacket. This is a subtle yet super stylish jacket for your dog!

One other thing to mention about these jackets is the fit. They hold in place whilst your dog has the time of their lives running around. Just be sure to tighten the waist strap enough. if it is too loose then the coat won’t stay central. A secure fit is very comforting for your dog and won’t make them feel that the jacket needs to come off.

Water Resistant

The coat is also water resistant. The outer shell is a treated wax cotton material and can withstand light to medium rain. We appreciate that our dogs get muddy so you can easily wash the jacket but we recommend a hand wash only. Please ensure you re wax the jacket every 6 months to ensure it maintains the waterproof coating.

Lined For Warmth

The jacket is lined with a soft material finished in blue, red and green tartan. This offers enough warmth to your dog whilst out walking without them overheating. Its also super comfy on their skin due to the finish of the cotton.

Not only is this coat super comfy for your best four legged friends, but it is super stylish too. The wax finish is pure class and we take the utmost care during production to ensure every detail is finished to perfection.

    I was unsure when I ordered the coat for my Shar Pei as I thought it was alot to pay, but it was worth every penny. Wax cotton style keeps my pooch dry which living in the North West of England is very much required. The coat is not to thick, I didn’t want to get my dog to hot but just keep him dry and this coat works treat.
